The Sarnia Reserve #45 is located in the southerly part of the City of Sarnia adjacent to the St. Clair River in the County of Lambton in Southwestern Ontario. The Sarnia Reserve is surrounded by major industrial refineries including Sunoco, Dow Chemical Canada, Polysar, Imperial Oil, and Shell Canada.

Many of these major industries are interconnected by pipelines, some of which cross through the reserve.
